Not sure which peel is right for you yet? [See our full peel lineup and pricing here.]

This page walks through exactly how the Korean Clinical Peel Program works, from your first appointment through your peel day, along with our booking policies.

How This Service Works for New Clients

New clients to Skin Accord need two appointments to complete their peel program.

Appointment 1: Consult and Barrier Reset Facial. This is where we assess your skin in person, review your history, confirm which peel program is the right fit, and complete a Barrier Reset Facial to prep and support your skin.

Appointment 2: Your Peel. Once your skin has been assessed and confirmed ready, you return for your peel treatment.

Already an established Skin Accord client with an assessed skin history? You can skip straight to Appointment 2 and book directly into your chosen peel.

Why We Do Not Peel on a First Appointment

Every skin tells a different story, and we cannot read that story through a photo or a phone call. Your barrier health, your sensitivity level, how your skin has responded to acids or actives in the past, and what your skin is actually ready for right now all shape which peel will give you the best result. The Barrier Reset Facial is where we find that out together, in person, before any peel touches your skin.

This approach also protects your results. A peel applied to skin that has not been properly assessed and prepped can lead to unnecessary sensitivity or an outcome that falls short of what you were hoping for. Starting with a dedicated assessment visit means your peel, when it happens, is calibrated to your skin as it actually is, not as we assume it to be.

Think of the Barrier Reset Facial as the foundation the rest of your results are built on. It is where we confirm which of our four peel programs is the right match for you, walk you through exactly what to expect, and prepare your skin so it is ready to respond well when peel day arrives.

How the Program Works, Step by Step

New Clients

  1. Book your peel program and choose your peel of interest
  2. Attend your Barrier Reset Facial, where we assess your skin and confirm your peel
  3. Return for your peel appointment
  4. If your assessed skin needs a different peel than the one you booked, your program price adjusts to match at your consult visit

Existing Clients

  1. Book directly into your chosen peel
  2. Attend your peel appointment

Booking and Deposit

A $90 deposit is required to reserve your appointment and is applied to your total. Balance is due at your Barrier Reset Facial (new clients) or at your peel appointment (existing clients).

Program Policies

Deposit and cancellation. All deposits are applied toward your total. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice, and no shows, will have their deposit refunded as a Skin Accord e-gift card to rebook or purchase products at skinaccord.com. Rescheduling with at least 24 hours notice moves your deposit to your new appointment at no additional cost.

Appointment window. Your Peel appointment should be booked within 2 to 4 weeks of your Barrier Reset Facial. This keeps your skin assessment current and ensures your peel is applied to skin that has been properly prepped. If more time passes, a follow up assessment may be needed before your peel can proceed.

Switching peels. If your assessed skin calls for a different peel than the one you originally booked, your program price adjusts to match at your Barrier Reset Facial visit. Any price difference is charged or credited at that appointment.

Late arrival. Arriving more than 15 minutes late to either appointment may require rescheduling to protect the time needed for a safe, unrushed treatment. Your deposit policy still applies.

Before your peel appointment. Certain medications, treatments, and skin conditions can affect candidacy for a peel. This is reviewed with you individually at your Barrier Reset Facial, and any pre treatment guidance given at that visit must be followed for your Peel appointment to proceed as scheduled.

Patch test. A patch test is completed as part of your Barrier Reset Facial for any peel new to your skin.

Refunds. Completed services are non refundable. If a peel appointment cannot proceed due to a contraindication identified at your consult, your deposit is issued as a Skin Accord e-gift card.

FAQ

Why do I need a consult before my peel? Peels are not one size fits all. Your skin condition, sensitivity, and goals determine which peel will give you the best result with the least risk. The Barrier Reset Facial lets us confirm the right fit before your peel appointment.

What if I want a different peel than the one I booked? That is exactly what the consult is for. Your program price adjusts to match your assessed peel at your Barrier Reset visit.

How much downtime should I expect? This varies by peel, from no visible peeling (Korean Brightening Peel) to several days of visible peeling (Perfect Derma). Your specific timeline is reviewed at your consult or booking.

I am already a Skin Accord client. Do I still need the Barrier Reset Facial? No. Existing clients with an assessed skin history can book directly into their chosen peel.

What products are used in each peel? We are happy to walk you through the full formulation and brand details for your chosen peel once your program is booked or during your consult.
