Welcome to Skin Accord
Thank you for trusting us with your skin. These policies are in place to protect your time, your results, and the experience of every client who walks through the door. Please take a moment to read through them before your appointment — if you have any questions, we are always happy to help.
Private Suite Experience
Skin Accord operates as a private, single-operator treatment suite. Only one client is accommodated at a time, which means your appointment receives our full and undivided attention from start to finish. There are no overlapping clients, no shared spaces, and no interruptions. Every treatment is performed in a calm, focused environment designed around your skin and your comfort.
Booking and Deposits
A 20% deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your appointment. The remaining balance is due on the day of your service. Clients booking through Shop Pay are required to pay the full service amount at the time of booking.
Deposits are non-refundable. If you cancel within the 24 hour notice window, your deposit will be credited to a Skin Accord e-gift card, which can be applied toward rebooking or any product purchase at skinaccord.com.
Cancellation and Rescheduling
We require a minimum of 24 hours notice for all cancellations and rescheduling requests. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before your scheduled appointment will result in forfeiture of your deposit. No credit or transfer will be issued.
To cancel or reschedule, please contact us as early as possible so we can offer your time to another client.
No-Show Policy
Clients who do not arrive for their scheduled appointment and do not contact us in advance will be considered a no-show. No-shows result in full forfeiture of the deposit. A new deposit will be required to rebook any future appointment.
Late Arrivals
Out of respect for all clients, we are unable to extend appointment times due to late arrivals. If you arrive more than 10 minutes past your scheduled start time, your appointment may need to be shortened or rescheduled at our discretion. In the event of a reschedule due to late arrival, the standard cancellation policy applies.
We recommend arriving 5 minutes early, especially for your first visit.
Treatment Day Discount
As a thank you for your visit, retail product purchases made on the day of your treatment receive 15% off. Purchases are processed in the treatment room at the time of your appointment. Products can be shipped to you the following business day or held for pickup at your convenience.
Intake Forms
All new clients are required to complete a client intake form prior to their appointment. You will receive a link to your intake form in your pre-appointment email. Completing this form in advance allows us to customize your treatment and ensure your safety. Please do not skip this step — incomplete forms may delay the start of your service.
Pre-Appointment Preparation
To get the most from your facial and avoid any adverse reactions, please follow these guidelines before your appointment:
- Retinol or tretinoin — discontinue use 48 to 72 hours before your appointment
- Waxing or threading — no waxing or threading in the treatment area for at least 7 days prior
- Sun exposure — avoid prolonged sun exposure and arrive without an active sunburn; always wear SPF in the days leading up to your appointment
- Recent chemical peel or laser treatment — wait a minimum of 7 to 14 days before booking a facial service
- Injectables (Botox, fillers) — wait a minimum of 2 weeks following any injectable treatment
- Active herpes outbreak or cold sores — please reschedule your appointment; we are unable to perform facial services during an active outbreak to protect both your skin and your esthetician
Active acne is welcome. Many of our facial services are specifically designed to support acne-prone skin and will not be impacted by the presence of breakouts.
If you are unsure whether a recent treatment or skin condition affects your eligibility, contact us before your appointment.
Pregnancy
Please inform us at the time of booking if you are pregnant or believe you may be pregnant. Some treatments and modalities are not recommended during pregnancy and your service may need to be modified or rescheduled. We want to make sure every treatment is safe and appropriate for where you are in your journey.
Guest Policy
Skin Accord is a private, single-operator treatment room. To maintain a calm, focused environment for every client, we ask that guests, partners, and friends wait outside the treatment room during your service. We appreciate your understanding.
Children
For the safety of all clients and to comply with our professional requirements, we are unable to accommodate children in the treatment room unless they are the scheduled client receiving a service. We kindly ask that you arrange childcare before your appointment.
Right to Refuse Service
Skin Accord reserves the right to modify or decline service if a contraindication is identified at the time of your appointment that was not disclosed in advance. In these situations, we will do our best to recommend an appropriate alternative service. If the appointment cannot proceed, the standard cancellation policy applies.
