What is the Soothing Cooler technology? The Soothing Cooler is a patented Korean ingredient complex (Patent No. 1793098) that works by actively releasing heat from the skin surface rather than just feeling cold on application. The difference matters — a product that feels cold initially can still leave heat and inflammation underneath. The Soothing Cooler draws that thermal energy out, resulting in a more sustained calming effect. It is combined with Star Anise extract for additional support.

What makes this different from a standard soothing gel? The base of this formula is 81% Sparassis Crispa mushroom extract — not water and not aloe. That concentration is clinically significant. Sparassis Crispa contains the highest naturally occurring beta-glucan of any known mushroom species, and at 81% it is functioning as the primary delivery vehicle for every other ingredient in the formula. Add the patented Soothing Cooler system and five forms of hyaluronic acid and this is a recovery grade gel, not a standard soothing product.

How soon after a professional treatment can I use this? This gel is formulated for post-treatment and sensitized skin and is used as part of the treatment protocol at Skin Accord. Can I use this as a sleeping mask? Yes. Apply a generous layer before bed and allow it to absorb overnight. The Soothing Cooler and layered hyaluronic acid system work well as an extended overnight moisture and calming treatment.

Can I layer this over other products? Yes. It can be applied over serums and ampoules as a calming and moisture-sealing step, or used alone. It also works well as a base under your moisturizer if your skin is particularly reactive or dry.

It is the lead ingredient in this formula — listed first in the INCI, meaning it makes up the largest proportion of the formula. The brand's Korean marketing states an 81% concentration. It supplies visible moisture and supports a calm, healthy skin appearance.

After cleansing, apply a cool towel to the face to lower skin temperature before applying.

Dispense an appropriate amount and apply evenly across the face.

Gently pat to absorb — do not rub.

For reactive or stressed skin: apply a generous layer, leave on for 15 to 20 minutes, then gently pat the remaining product into the skin or remove with a soft cloth.

Ways to use: As a lightweight daily moisturizer — one pump applied and patted in after toner or serum. As a deep moisture pack — apply a generous layer to dry or dehydrated skin and leave for 15 to 20 minutes. As a calming layer over sensitive or reactive skin — apply over your existing routine as a soothing finishing step. As an overnight sleeping mask — apply before bed and allow it to absorb through the night.
