Bion Bateriastat Cleanser
This cleanser is a Skin Accord favorite. Bacteriostat Cleanser is a gentle, antibacterial cleanser designed for acne-prone skin that is also dry, sensitive, or affected by rosacea or acne rosacea. It targets Propionibacterium acnes and other bacteria linked to breakouts while minimizing inflammation and supporting skin barrier function.
This formula uses botanical actives like turmeric and marjoram to deliver calming, anti-inflammatory benefits. It also contains 5% salicylic acid to exfoliate inside the pores and help reduce congestion without excessive dryness. Ideal as Step 1 in BiON’s 3-step acne system for sensitive skin.
Key Ingredients
Salicylic Acid (5%) – Penetrates deep into pores to remove excess oil and exfoliate inside follicles. Helps reduce blackheads, whiteheads, and inflammatory acne.
Turmeric Root Extract – A natural anti-inflammatory that helps calm redness, soothe the skin, and inhibit 5-alpha-reductase to reduce oil production.
Marjoram Extract (Origanum Majorana) – Helps regulate immune response and inflammation by blocking compounds like interleukin-6, histamine, and TNF-alpha, which are often triggered in acne and rosacea.
Sodium C14-16 Olefin Sulfonate – A mild, sulfate-free cleanser that lifts away oil and debris without disrupting the skin barrier.
Sodium Lauroyl Oat Amino Acids – Soothing and non-drying surfactants derived from oats. Helps maintain hydration while cleansing.

Directions
Apply to skin, lather with water and rinse twice daily.
