Bion Mandelic Serum 15%

This serum uses 15% Mandelic Acid to exfoliate the skin while remaining gentle enough for sensitive and acne-prone skin types. Mandelic acid has a larger molecule size compared to other alpha hydroxy acids so it penetrates more slowly and causes less irritation. It helps clear clogged pores smooth rough texture and fade dark spots from past breakouts.

The formula also contains lactic acid which supports gentle exfoliation while helping the skin retain moisture. Azelaic acid works to calm redness brighten the skin and reduce bacteria linked to breakouts. Niacinamide helps support the skin barrier improve tone and reduce visible redness.

Sodium hyaluronate helps draw in water to keep the skin hydrated and plump. Witch hazel extract helps refine pores and reduce surface oil without over drying. Sodium PCA provides natural hydration and helps maintain softness.

Plant-based oils including orange peel lemongrass sunflower and lavender provide lightweight moisture along with natural antibacterial and soothing benefits. These ingredients support skin clarity and help maintain a balanced environment on the surface of the skin.

Key Ingredients 

Mandelic Acid (15%) – An alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) derived from bitter almonds. Its larger molecular size makes it less irritating than glycolic acid, making it ideal for sensitive, acne-prone, and pigmented skin. Mandelic acid works by loosening the bonds between dead skin cells, helping to unclog pores, reduce breakouts, brighten dark spots, and smooth surface texture.

Lactic Acid – A mild AHA that complements mandelic acid by gently resurfacing the skin. It also acts as a humectant, helping retain moisture while exfoliating. Lactic acid supports smoother skin texture and improved hydration, making this serum more tolerable for dry or sensitive users.

Azelaic Acid – A multitasking acid that helps fade post-acne marks and melasma while calming inflammation. It has antibacterial properties against P. acnes and helps normalize keratinization, reducing clogged pores and redness. Especially beneficial for clients with acne and rosacea.

Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) – Brightens uneven skin tone, reduces inflammation, and strengthens the skin barrier. Niacinamide also helps regulate sebum production, making it ideal for oily and acne-prone skin while reinforcing tolerance to exfoliating acids.

Directions 

Apply evenly over cleansed skin every other day for 2 weeks and leave on skin. If tolerated may apply daily if needed. Apply remaining serums over this serum.
