What is a Maltese cross structure?
When healthy skin lipids are viewed under polarized light, they form a cross shaped pattern called a Maltese cross. This shows they are arranged in organized, layered sheets. Dr.esthe’s DMC™ cream is built to form the same pattern, so it layers onto skin in a way that feels natural and long lasting.

Why ceramide NP?
Ceramide NP is one of the most abundant ceramides in the skin’s outer layer. Adding it back topically helps skin hold moisture and look smooth and supple.

Why two types of hyaluronic acid?
Larger sodium hyaluronate sits on the surface and forms a moisture film. The smaller hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid helps skin look plump. Together they deliver both immediate and lasting hydration.

What does betaine do?
Betaine is a gentle, naturally derived humectant that attracts water and helps skin feel comfortable. It pairs well with hyaluronic acid for well balanced hydration.

Does it have a scent?
There is no added synthetic fragrance, but the formula contains botanical oils such as bergamot, lavender, rose, and jasmine, which give it a soft natural scent. If you’re sensitive to essential oils, patch test first.

Is it too heavy for oily skin?
The texture is on the richer side, so it’s ideal for dry, normal, and combination skin, and for cooler months. Oily skin may prefer it at night or only on dry areas.

Dual Hyaluronic Acid (Sodium Hyaluronate and Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid)
Two sizes of hyaluronic acid working together. Sodium hyaluronate forms a moisture film on the surface that keeps hydration from evaporating, and the smaller hydrolyzed form helps skin look plump and smooth.

Betaine
A naturally derived humectant from sugar beets. It helps skin hold water and feel soft and comfortable.

DMC™ Technology (Dermatology Maltese Cross)
Dr.esthe’s lamellar cream structure, built with hydrogenated lecithin, fatty alcohols, and stearic acid. Under a polarizing microscope it shows a “Maltese cross” pattern, the same signature seen in the organized lipid layers of healthy skin. This structure gives the cream its long lasting, comfortable moisture.

Squalane, Shea Butter, and Apricot Kernel Oil
Nourishing emollients that soften dry patches and leave skin feeling cushioned and smooth.

1. Cleanse, tone, and apply your ampoule or serum.
2. Take a pea to almond sized amount and warm it between your fingertips.
3. Press and smooth over the face and neck.
4. In the morning, finish with sunscreen.

Use morning and evening as the last step of your routine. On very dry areas, apply an extra layer at night.

For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes; if contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water. Contains botanical essential oils, including bergamot; avoid if you have a known sensitivity, and use daily sunscreen. Discontinue use if redness, swelling, itching, or irritation occurs, and consult a physician if it persists. Do not apply to broken skin. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.
