HOP+ House of PLLA Volume Boost Moisturizer — Acne Prone Skin

Why does acne-prone skin need an anti-aging treatment? Acne-prone skin ages the same way every other skin type does.  Collagen production slows, the fat pad thins, and skin loses structural density over time. The challenge is that most anti-aging treatment creams are formulated with heavy emollients and butters that challenge congested skin. This formula was built specifically to deliver clinical-grade anti-aging actives in a texture that acne-prone and sensitive skin can tolerate daily.

How is this different from the normal to dry skin version? The active profile of PLLA, PDRN, growth factors, snail mucin, natto gum  is shared across both. The formulas differ significantly in texture and emollient base. The normal to dry skin version contains shea butter, mango seed butter, palm oil, macadamia oil, and a richer wax-based system. This version replaces all of that with a lightweight olive-derived emollient system of Cetearyl Olivate and Sorbitan Olivate with lower concentration of snail secretion filtrate. The result is a noticeably lighter texture that delivers the same treatment-level actives without the occlusive richness that can contribute to congestion.

Can I use this if I currently break out regularly? This formula is designed for acne-prone skin in a maintenance and anti-aging context ,and not as an active acne treatment. If you are managing active breakouts, introduce this gradually and monitor how your skin responds. The niacinamide, centella, and DERMA-CLERA support a calmer skin environment. 

Can I use this with my acne-focused routine? Yes. This formula layers well under SPF in the morning and can be used as your final moisturizing step in both AM and PM routines. It does not contain ingredients that conflict with common acne-focused actives like niacinamide, azelaic acid, or BHA. Avoid combining with high-strength retinoids or acids on the same application unless your skin is well-acclimated to layering those ingredients.

The tube looks creased. Is something wrong? No. The flexible squeeze tube is designed for controlled dispensing. Any creasing or indentation is normal and does not affect the formula.

Present at a lower concentration than in the normal to dry skin version — calibrated for the lighter texture profile of this formula.

Natto Gum (Polyglutamic Acid) A fermented soybean-derived humectant that holds significantly more moisture than hyaluronic acid at the skin surface. Apply a pea-sized amount to clean skin on the face, neck, and décolletage morning and evening. Massage gently until absorbed. A small amount is sufficient. This is a concentrated formula and more product does not improve results. For even better results, use it with HOP+ CAVIPLLA+02® Multi Serum and HOP+ Pilleo Stem Cell Mist.

Before using HOP+ Volume Boost Moisturizer for Acne Prone and Sensitive Skin for the first time, apply a small amount to clean skin on the inner forearm. Leave on for 24 hours, then rinse. If you do not notice redness, itching, or discomfort, the product can be used as directed on the face. If irritation occurs at any time, discontinue use and consult a skincare professional or medical provider.
