What is biocellulose and how is it different from a regular sheet mask? Biocellulose is a natural fiber derived from coconuts through a fermentation process. Unlike traditional nonwoven sheet mask materials, biocellulose conforms closely to the contours of the face and creates a seal that helps prevent evaporation and allows the essence to penetrate more effectively. The result is a noticeably more immersive and hydrating masking experience.

How much essence is in each mask? Each mask is soaked in 25 ml of concentrated serum, which is significantly more than most standard sheet masks. After removing the mask, any remaining essence on the skin can be gently patted in rather than rinsed off.

Is this mask safe for sensitive skin? This mask is formulated without fragrance, making it a cleaner option than many Korean masks. However, it contains Tea Tree Leaf Extract, which can be sensitizing for some skin types. If your skin is highly reactive, compromised, or recently treated, patch test carefully before full face use. The Dr. Esthé Soothing and Moisture Mask is a gentler alternative if tea tree is a concern.

How often can I use this mask? For most skin types, one to two times per week is appropriate. If you are using it as a post treatment calming step, follow your provider's guidance on masking frequency during recovery.

Can I use this mask after a facial or procedure? This mask can be a good option after certain treatments, but because it contains Tea Tree Extract, check with your provider before applying to freshly treated skin. For post procedure use where the barrier may be disrupted, a fragrance free, tea tree free mask may be more appropriate.

Patch Test

Before using the KRX Aesthetics Treatment and Booster Biocellulose Mask for the first time, apply a small amount of the mask essence to clean skin on the inner forearm and wait 24 hours. If you do not notice redness, itching, or discomfort, the mask can be used as directed on the face. If irritation occurs at any time, discontinue use and consult a skincare professional or medical provider.

Remove the mask from its pouch and unfold carefully. The mask includes two layers, a gauze like protective layer and a smooth biocellulose layer.
Apply the biocellulose (gel like) side directly onto clean skin, as shown in the image. Once positioned, gently peel away the outer gauze layer and smooth the mask so it fully adheres to the contours of your face.
Leave on for 15 to 20 minutes, then remove and lightly pat the remaining essence into the skin. Follow with moisturizer or SPF.
