This is the hero of the Medipair Plasma line, a Korean skincare system built around patented liquid plasma technology. Plasma is the fourth state of matter, formed when gas is energized to the point where electrons separate from atomic nuclei. When dissolved into purified water through Medpair's proprietary patented process, liquid plasma becomes a topical skincare active with a growing body of research behind it. Studies have demonstrated liquid plasma's antibacterial properties, showing its ability to target harmful bacteria associated with acne, congestion, and skin reactivity while leaving beneficial bacteria intact. The result is a visibly clearer, calmer skin environment that improves with consistent use rather than simply masking what appears on the surface.

The texture is soft and liquid-like, absorbs quickly into the skin, and is designed to be applied first after cleansing. For areas of visible congestion, enlarged pores, or persistent redness, it can be reapplied in a targeted layer once the first application is fully absorbed. It works as a complete system with the Plasma Cream, which seals the serum and extends contact time on the skin so the liquid plasma can work longer and more effectively.

Frequently Asked Question

What is liquid plasma and why does it matter for skin? Liquid plasma is produced through Medipair's patented process that dissolves plasma, the fourth state of matter, into purified water. Studies have demonstrated its antibacterial properties, showing it can target harmful bacteria associated with acne and skin congestion while leaving beneficial bacteria intact. This microbiome-balancing effect visibly supports a clearer, calmer skin environment with consistent use, making it a genuinely different approach from conventional calming or clarifying serums.

Why does the formula have so few ingredients? The formula is intentionally minimal so the liquid plasma can work without interference from competing actives. Each supporting ingredient was chosen specifically to enhance delivery and maintain skin comfort. Fewer ingredients also means a lower likelihood of sensitivity, making it appropriate for reactive and post-treatment skin.

Do I need to use both the Plasma Serum and Plasma Cream? They are designed to work together. The serum absorbs quickly but can evaporate from the skin on its own. The Plasma Cream acts as a sealing layer that holds the serum against the skin and extends contact time, which improves visible results. Using both together is the complete Plasma protocol.

My skin turned slightly red after first use. Is that normal? Some clients notice temporary redness when first introducing the Plasma line, particularly if skin is congested or reactive. This reflects the skin adjusting to the shift in its microbiome environment. Begin with once daily use and increase gradually. If redness persists or is uncomfortable, discontinue and consult your esthetician.

Key Ingredients

Liquid Plasma The core active in this formula, produced through Medipair's patented liquid plasma process. Studies have demonstrated liquid plasma's antibacterial properties, showing its ability to target harmful bacteria associated with acne, congestion, and skin reactivity while preserving beneficial bacteria essential to a healthy skin environment. Multiple patents have been granted for liquid plasma's use in skin soothing and microbiome balancing compositions. With consistent use, it visibly supports a clearer, calmer, more balanced complexion.

Squalane A skin-identical emollient that visibly supports barrier comfort, smoothness, and suppleness. Absorbs without heaviness and is compatible with all skin types including oily and acne-prone.

Allantoin One of skincare's most well-researched soothing ingredients. Known to visibly calm the appearance of redness and help reactive, sensitized skin look and feel more settled.

Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract An antioxidant-rich botanical with research linking it to a visible reduction in the appearance of redness and skin reactivity caused by environmental stress. Helps support a clearer, more even-looking complexion.

Mentha Rotundifolia (Peppermint) Leaf Extract A clarifying botanical that contributes additional visible calming support, particularly on congested and reactive skin.

Thymus Vulgaris (Thyme) Leaf Extract A botanical with well-documented clarifying properties that complements the antibacterial activity of the liquid plasma base.

Disclaimer & Patch Test

Disclaimer: Individual results may vary. Products sold at Skin Accord are formulated by their respective manufacturers to support healthy, balanced skin, but sensitivity can occur when introducing new active ingredients.

If layering skincare from multiple brands, introduce one new product at a time and monitor how your skin responds. Using several potent actives—such as exfoliants, retinoids, or acids—within the same routine may increase the likelihood of irritation.

Patch Test: For first-time use, apply a small amount to a discreet area (such as the inner arm or behind the ear) and wait 24 hours before full application. If irritation, redness, or discomfort occurs, discontinue use.

Use as directed and discontinue if redness, stinging, or discomfort occurs. Skin Accord cannot assume responsibility for reactions that result from misuse, overuse, or combining incompatible products. Please consult a qualified medical professional if you experience persistent irritation.
