What skin types is Med Shield best for? This cream is ideal for dry, normal, sensitive, and post procedure skin that needs intensive barrier support and hydration. It works especially well for skin that feels tight, reactive, or depleted after treatments or during periods of stress. For combination or oily skin, we recommend a patch test first, as this is a richer formula.

How is this different from the Dermathod Ami Sterol Cream? Both creams focus on barrier repair, but they are formulated with different active profiles. The Ami Sterol Cream is built around Ceramide NP, Cholesterol, and 17 amino acids — a barrier repair approach modeled on the skin's own lipid structure. Med Shield takes a peptide forward approach with 12 actives, flower vesicles, and botanical oils for deeper repair and longer term skin resilience. If you are post procedure, either can work well — Med Shield is the stronger choice for skin that needs both barrier support and anti aging actives in one step.

Is this cream silicone free? Yes. This formula does not contain silicones. The emollient base is built from botanical oils and natural waxes rather than synthetic silicones, making it a good option for those who prefer to avoid silicone based ingredients.

Can I use this right after a peel or facial treatment? Yes, this cream is designed with post procedure recovery in mind. The peptide and botanical lipid complex helps calm irritation and support skin recovery.
